The upcoming five-door Force Gurkha is projected to have squared-off LED headlights, a single slat grille and a dramatic bumper with circular fog lamps, based on what can be seen. The SUV is equipped with a pair of 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that are bordered by broad cladding. Vertically stacked LED taillights and a spare wheel located on the tailgate are expected on the back part.
The new 5-door Force Gurkha will be driven by the same 2.6-litre diesel engine that produces 91PS and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a 4×4 system is possible.The five-door variant is expected to include six forward-facing seats on the inside. The future car will include a redesigned dashboard design, manual air conditioning, a touchscreen infotainment system and a few other features. The vehicle will most likely be available in six and seven-seat configurations.

2023 Force Motors Five-Door Gurkha Review : Powertrain & Range
New Force Gurkha 5 door is expected to carry forward the same Mercedes sourced 2.6 liter turbocharged diesel engine which offers 91 hp power and 250 Nm torque on 3 door version. Power and torque figures could be higher, so as to offer better performance on 5 door model. Engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
Force Motors is also expected to offer 4WD along with manual locking differentials. As is seen on the 3 door version, Gurkha 5 door will also get off road gear like low range transfer case, manual locking front and rear differentials. Suspension will include independent suspension and multi-link rigid live axle suspension at front and rear respectively.
2023 Force Motors Five-Door Gurkha Review : Performance
While it may not be obvious at first glance, the 2021 Gurkha shares no body or platform components with the older SUV. What hasn’t changed is the boxy design of the Gurkha, which, contrary to popular belief, was influenced by the Mercedes G-Wagen. The positioning of the turn indicators, the round headlamps, and the tall body are all aspects that keep the 2021 Gurkha loyal to its design heritage. It also continues to use metallic bash plates, however, the elements are much more polished and modern.
The front receives full-LED headlights and jewel-like LED DRLs. Instead of the spherical Force Motors insignia, the grille proudly displays the Gurkha name. From the side, you still have the snorkel, which allows the Gurkha to attain a water wading depth of 700mm and makes it the only passenger car in India to have it as factory equipment. They emblazoned the massive ORVMs with a Khukri symbol, a large single glass window for rear passengers dominates the battle dagger of the great Gurkha warriors and the rest of the side. Force has kept the 4x4x4 insignia as a marketing ploy implying the terrains that the Gurkha can conquer – desert, water, forest, and mountains.
In terms of measurements, the new 4116mm length is 124mm longer, but the 1812mm width is 8mm shorter. The wheelbase and height remain unchanged at 2400mm and 2075mm, respectively. The tough-looking bumper, ladder, and spare tyre at the back give it a brutish appearance. Customers can, however, choose to add a roof rack, ladder, wheel, and tyres as accessories. The Gurkha is distinctive on the road, standing tall and loud, especially in the new quirky colours like red and orange.
Our Opinion
Where the older Force Gurkha felt like a bivouac shelter, the new one is comparable to a fallout shelter, if not more. It also goes like a mountain goat and is as good a steed as a Geralt’s Roach. But can it be your new choice of ‘Lifestyle 4×4’? It certainly can. It’s got a capable and refined diesel. And will tread where roads cease to exist. There are loads of customisation options too.
