Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 – My Dream My Car : Hello friends, if you are thinking of buying a “Car” and you have no detailed idea about car, I welcome you to this blog. Today I will let you know – “Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022”.

The name throws everybody. Inscribing “Mustang” on an all-electric four-door SUV was a provocative move. Despite the Mustang Mach-E sharing part of its moniker with Ford’s last remaining passenger car, the Mach-E shares nothing major with the internal-combustion-engine Mustang, aside from the family resemblance.

Even transposed to a four-door SUV form, the Mach-E looks like a Mustang, with angular design elements carved into its swooping, curved bodywork and beefy haunches over the rear wheels. The stance is squat and athletic.

There are four trim levels of Mustang Mach-E, with most offering the option of standard or extended range, and rear- or all-wheel drive. WIRED’s tester was an all-wheel drive, extended-range Premium, which has a sticker price of $57,800 before subtracting the $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs.

Briefly of Ford Mustang Mach-E 2022

The Mustang Mach-E reimagines Ford’s iconic pony car as an electric compact SUV. That may ruffle some diehards’ feathers, but it’s part of the brand’s big push away from internal combustion power to more sustainable ways of motivation. The Mustang Mach-E competes against the likes of the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID4.

The Mustang is now a four-door! Well, sorta. Ford has named its all-electric SUV the Mustang Mach-E. This may be Ford’s first EV SUV, but it’s not the automaker’s first foray into efficient SUVs.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 – My Dream My Car

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022

The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E blends popular elements of the past and present in a highly desirable package that bodes well for the future of electric vehicles, which is why we gave it an Editors’ Choice award. While it seems sacrilegious that Ford would call a crossover EV a Mustang, pairing the iconic nameplate with an in-demand body style is smart marketing. Along with its attention-getting appearance, the Mach-E has a handsomely appointed interior that’s brimming with the latest tech.

It also has nifty storage solutions, a spacious back seat, and lots of cargo space. Get behind the wheel and the electrified Mustang feels agile and quick. The sportiest version hits 60 mph in 3.7 seconds (quicker than a Mustang Mach 1) and the rangiest versions are estimated to travel more than 300 miles per charge. All that and more makes the 2022 Mustang Mach-E a transcendent EV.

Entering its second model year, the 2022 Mustang Mach-E, which won our inaugural EV of the Year award, enjoys slightly more useable battery capacity that should increase its real-world range. The California 1 is now offered with all-wheel drive and comes standard with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Likewise, the GT model now comes standard with a black-painted roof.

As with the Mustang pony car, the Mach-E is now available as an all-white special edition called–go figure–the Ice White Edition. This new appearance package is only offered on the Premium trim level and includes tri-coat Star White metallic paint and Oxford White details such as the 19-inch wheels and exterior badges. The bright Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange paint colors are also now available on models other than just the GT.

The Premium model is the Mach-E to get. It’s rated at 305 miles of driving range when paired with the extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive, but we’d still choose the all-wheel-drive version, which knocks its estimated range down to 270 miles. Compared with the base model, the Mach-E Premium has more powerful fast-charging capability, 19-inch wheels, a Band & Olufsen sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and a power liftgate.

Specification of Ford Mustang Mach-E 2022

The Mustang Mach-E draws inspiration from the traditional Mustang, and that makes it look better and drive better. The Mustang design cues are obvious in the fenders, hood, nose, and taillights, and yet the Mach-E takes on the shape of a coupe-like crossover. It’s a sportier and more interesting look than so many similarly shaped crossovers.

Inside, the Mustang Mach-E has more of a Tesla feel with a vertical 15.5-inch touchscreen in the middle. A short, flat, 10.2-inch digital instrument readout in place of a hooded instrument pod also provides an EV feel.

Interior space benefits from a dedicated electric vehicle platform. Front and rear occupants have good head and leg room despite a coupe-like crossover shape, and cargo space is plentiful.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 : Frist Impressive Looks

The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a handsome and sporty all-electric luxury SUV. While it’s not mechanically related to the standard Ford Mustang, it draws plenty of influence from Ford’s icon when it comes to design and feel. It’s not the fastest EV around, and there are others that offer more range (though the Mach-E’s real-world range is better than advertised). But we think it offers a great combination of both performance and range, especially when you add in the well-appointed cabin and excellent in-car tech.

When modern electric cars were in their infancy, Ford sold an electric version of the Focus to take on the Nissan Leaf but it was compromised by a design intended for a conventional engine. It was vital that Ford’s first attempt at a model specifically engineered to be electric made people pay attention; the Mustang Mach-E needed to be desirable, high-tech and capable of long ranges.

It should be no surprise Ford has chosen an SUV to showcase its new technology – high-riding models have surged in popularity with buyers the world over in recent years – but the use of the Mustang name and styling cues have proved controversial with fans of the Blue Oval. If anything, it shows just how far the brand is prepared to go to help make its first dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV) a desirable product.

However you feel, the Mustang Mach-E is an attractive car, with coupe-like proportions and hidden door handles giving it a sleek appearance. Wide rear haunches and tail lights from the Ford Mustang coupe hint at the performance on offer, which is significant no matter which version you pick. The interior is even more of a departure for Ford; clearly inspired by the Tesla Model 3, but with plenty of its own quirks. A huge 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen dominates proceedings, but there’s also a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster perched behind the steering wheel if the driver wants to focus on the task at hand.

There’s also plenty of space inside, with plenty of headroom for front and rear passengers. This is aided by the compact electric powertrain which gives the car a flat floor with no traditional gear selector. Along with a generous 519-litre boot, a large ‘frunk’ under the bonnet is lined with tough plastic and even has a drain plug so it can be washed out. This makes it ideal for sports gear, and shows the attention to detail Ford has put in to make the Mach-E a practical family car.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 : Power & Performance

Few American cars are more associated with performance than the Mustang. In fact, one of the sensations most associated with the iconic sports car is the roar of its gas-powered engine. That’s something the Mach-E won’t be able to deliver, because lurking under its hood is Ford’s first all-electric—and relatively silent—power train.

You won’t be selecting between a V-6 or a V-8, but there will still be choices to make. There are two power trains available for the Mach-E: a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version that features one motor on the rear axle and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option that has a motor on both axles. Whichever edition you choose, you’ll also be able to pick between two battery pack offerings: the standard-range 75.7 kwh pack or an extended-range 98.8 kwh pack. The larger battery pack will give the power train a bit more oomph and increase the driving range of your EV.

While the Mach-E isn’t powered by a massive V-8 like its predecessors, it still packs some punch. Both the RWD and AWD models generate 266 hp—when connected to the standard-range battery—and between 317 ft lbs and 428 ft lbs of torque, respectively. Spring for the extended-range battery and output increases to 290 hp for the RWD model and 346 hp for the AWD configuration (torque figures remain the same). That’s plenty of zip, but if you want even more grunt, the AWD GT and GT Performance Edition variants, both of which only come with the extended-range battery, run with 480 horses and between 600 and 634 ft lbs of twist.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 : Range and Battery Life

The 2022 Mustang Mach-E has an EPA-estimated range of between 211 and 305 miles, depending on the battery pack and type of electric motors, which isn’t nearly as impressive as the rangiest Tesla models. Every model also has fast-charging capability. Every Mach-E comes out of the box with a Ford mobile charger that can add up to 30 miles of range per night with a 120-volt outlet and up to 80 percent of battery life overnight with a 240-volt outlet. A Ford charge station can also be ordered online and installed by certified electricians, with the ability to replenish 32 miles per hour and recharge the battery overnight.

Charging takes just over 10 hours when connected to a Level 2 home or public AC charger. At a 150-kW DC fast charger, the GT can go from 10% to 80% in around 45 minutes via its CCS connection. Ford is offering new Mach-E owners up to 250 kWh of complimentary DC fast charging on its BlueOval network of public stations, which is only about 600 miles if you perfectly nail the EPA’s 2.4 mi/kWh estimate.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 : Comfort Driving

Onto comfort, the electric Mustang seats up to five occupants. The rear middle seat is unsurprisingly a little stiff, but due to the vehicle not having a transmission tunnel it means all rear occupants can place their feet flat on the ground. As for headroom and legroom, at the rear of the cabin 6-foot 4-inches (193cm) individuals might feel a little henned in, while those who are a little shorter won’t have the slightest problem.

At the front, six-way manually-adjustable seats allow for a certain degree of adjustment, while electronically-adjustable seats come as standard in the AWD models. For extra comfort, Ford has included a heated windshield, steering wheel and front seats in all trim levels – the former being particularly handy in cold weather conditions.

As for cabin noise, the Mustang Mach-E does suffer from a bit of tyre noise at the front of the cabin and has a bit of audible wind noise deflecting off the A-pillars; it’s not as silent as some of its main rivals.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review 2022 : Infotainment and Connectivity

Ford’s next-generation SYNC infotainment system uses machine learning to fully customize each driver’s experience—currently it supports three driver profiles and one guest. The Mustang Mach-E runs the software through a vertically mounted 15.5-inch touchscreen that allows for easy access to the system’s array of apps and features. A benefit of the system is that Ford will roll out over-the-air updates over time, constantly improving the system and adding new content. Top features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Our Opinion

As an overall package the Ford Mustang Mach-E 2022 Electric is an impressive car. It offers buyers a choice of versions, has an appealing design and an interior that is far better than anything the brand has previously offered for sale. The electric drivetrain and charging system’s performance gives the Mustang an edge over many of its rivals.
