Kia EV6 Review 2022 – My Dream My Car : Hello friends, if you are thinking of buying a “Car” and you have no detailed idea about car, I welcome you to this blog. Today I will let you know – “Kia EV6 Review 2022”.

Kia bring that it’s new electric vehicles the first being the new 2022 EV6. Now that we’ve seen its sleek exterior and handsome interior designs and learned more about its specifications we just have to wait until the first models start arriving in dealerships early next year.

The Kia EV6 is an electric SUV that’s a bit like Tony Stark from the Iron Man franchise in that, like him, it’s stylish and glamorous but also extremely clever.

It’s an all-new model that is sold alongside alternatives such as the Nissan Ariya, Ford Mustang Mach-e and Volkswagen ID.4. It sits above Kia’s other electric SUV, the e-Niro, costing more but dazzling with bold looks, more performance and up-to-the-minute tech.

Briefly of Kia EV6 Review 2022

Kia EV6 Review 2022

I recommend the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Wind trim level, not only because it’s the most affordable way to get all-weather traction but also because the dual motors generate a combined 320 horsepower versus the single motor’s 225 horses.

If you want to make a statement, the EV6 is a good way to do it. Its distinctive face, wide haunches and sloping roof give it presence, while the curved light bar around the rear end makes it look a lot like an Aston Martin DBX. Unlike the Aston, though, the Kia starts from just over £40,000.

Kia EV6 Review 2022 – My Dream My Car

The 2022 Kia EV6 is a small crossover/hatchback that is the first in Kia’s lineup to be built from the ground up as an electric vehicle. That means, unlike the Niro EV (which is an electrified version of the Niro hybrid), the EV6 enjoys the advantages of being designed as an EV from the get-go. Without an engine or other traditional components to worry about, Kia was able to give the EV6 distinctively sleek styling as well as relatively roomy seating considering the car’s tidy overall dimensions.

Underneath, the EV6 shares much of its EV tech with the Hyundai Ioniq 5. And like the Ioniq 5, it is compatible with the latest, super-quick public DC fast-charging stations. What does that mean? In optimal conditions, Kia says you can replenish 70 miles in less than five minutes and charge from 10% to 80% battery capacity in under 18 minutes when using a 350-kW charger. Unfortunately, these 350-kW stations are very rare. Even so, you can consider the EV6 to be future-proofed to take advantage of more powerful fast charging as it rolls out in the coming years.

There’s a lot to like about the EV6 from behind the wheel. In both rear- and all-wheel-drive forms, acceleration is brisk enough to pin you to your seat, but not so much that it reorganizes your internal organs like some other EVs. Passengers will like it too thanks to the pleasantly smooth ride quality. You’ll still feel a lot of small bumps and seams in the road, but even moderate potholes are kept from sending sharp jolts into the cabin.

The EV6’s interior isn’t as futuristic as the cabins of some other EVs, but that also means it’s attractively modern and functional. The wide digital panels atop the dashboard are easy to read at a quick glance and have the stylistic flair of some Mercedes and BMW vehicles. A smattering of physical buttons on the center console goes a long way in making the EV6 feel like it was designed with the user in mind, rather than adhering to the touchscreen-only ethos that pervades the Kia’s competitive set.

The 2022 EV6 isn’t just a promising glimpse into Kia’s all-electric future — it’s a legitimately great EV that can go toe-to-toe with other highly rated EVs such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Tesla Model 3 and Y, and Volkswagen ID.4.

This is a car company that’s gone from making meek econoboxes (older iterations of the Rio) to class-leading crossovers (the Telluride) and fascinating drivers’ machines (the Stinger). Now it’s created an all-new electric vehicle — that’s what the EV in EV6 stands for — on a specific platform. And it’s not competing with underwhelming efforts like the Nissan Leaf. It’s going up against Tesla.

Kia EV6 Review 2022 : Frist Impressive Looks

The EV6 looks stunning in the metal. It’s too tall to be a hatchback. A tad too short to be an SUV. Definitely not a sedan, what with the hints of shooting brake to the back end. Compact cross over might be the closest, though even that might not be an accurate description. It will be polarising but there’s no question it will turn heads.

The benefits of the dedicated EV architecture, which we will come to in a bit, are the extremely short overhangs, shallow and low bonnet area, and a massive wheelbase, all of which gives it unique proportions. Draped over it is Kia’s new design language that pushes the boundaries of conventional car design to satiate the early adopter’s appetite for differentiation without putting off the more traditional buyer.

Mercifully the EV6 bucks the trend for ornamental (and blanked-out) grilles in favour of a slim strip hinting at what was once Kia’s trademark, the tiger-nose grille, while the air-dam below it has functional vents to cool the battery and systems. Finally, form following function! Big wheels are being enthusiastically embraced on electric cars and the EV6 is no exception riding on striking 19-inchers that give it great stance. Don’t miss the gloss black element on the base of the doors that breaks up the visual mass of the profile. This then sweeps up to meet the tail lamps, the latter swooping up and across the tailgate creating the most striking angle to view the EV6 from. It’s absolutely unique, totally unmissable, and I’m a big fan.

Kia EV6 Review 2022 : Motor, Power, and Performance

Available with a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle or an electric motor on both axles, the EV6 can be configured with rear- or all-wheel drive. While all-wheel-drive models have the larger battery pack and either 320 or 576 total horsepower, the base rear-drive example has a smaller battery and just 167 horses. Opting for the bigger battery boosts the rear-drive EV6’s total system output to 225 horses. We drove a GT-Line AWD in Europe and enjoyed its satisfying acceleration, agile handling, and adjustable regenerative brake settings. At our test track, that 320-hp GT-Line model managed a brisk 4.5-second zero-to-60-mph time. Those seeking maximum straight-line performance will appreciate the 576-hp GT, which has an estimated zero-to-60-mph time that’s under 3.5 seconds.

Kia EV6 Review 2022 : Battery, charging and Motors: super-fast charging capability

While the EV6 will be available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options, both will be powered by a 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery set-up. The EV6 can accept a very fast 350kW DC charge, which will see the battery go from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, and on a 50kW fast charger, the battery will take 73 minutes for the same level. For home charging, the Kia EV6 comes with a 22kW wall box charger as standard, though charging times for this have not been released.

For now, Kia has not released the ARAI-certified range, however, the international WLTP range stands at 528km. The EV6 battery can also power an external load and has a dedicated socket at the rear, so, for instance, it can run some camping equipment or even a refrigerator in a power cut.

On the RWD EV6, the motor makes 229hp and a max of 350Nm of torque, while on the AWD version, the motors put out a combined 325hp and 605Nm of torque. It was the latter that we drove, and even out on an F1 track, it really impressed us.

Kia EV6 Review 2022 : Interior, Passenger Space, and Cargo

Inside, the EV6’s design and layout are not as daring as the outside, but the configuration and features look more attractive and futuristic than any other current Kia model. Although the center console doesn’t slide back and forth and there are no front-seat footrests like there are on the upcoming Ioniq 5, the EV6 mixes high-tech content such as a digitized dashboard with practical elements such as a floating center console with copious storage solutions and a large bin underneath it.

Other touches that stand out are the two-tone, two-spoke steering wheel, the prominent start button on the center console, and the gold accents that are tastefully placed throughout the cockpit. The EV6 has a flat floor and a wheelbase as long as the three-row, mid-size Kia Telluride, so passenger space is generous. There are also 28 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seat and 54 cubes total with the rear seatbacks folded flat. There’s more storage space under the front trunk, too, but it’s not as big as expected.

Our Opinion

The Kia EV6 combines striking looks with impressive battery and motor tech with excellent efficiency to offer more than 300 miles of range, as well as some seriously impressive performance. It’s Kia’s flagship electric car, and represents the next step in the company’s EV development.
