Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022 – My Attitude My Bike : Hello friends, if you are thinking of buying a “Bike” and you have no detailed idea about car, I welcome you to this blog. Today I will let you know – “Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022”.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 seems to have moved even closer to production now. The motorcycle was recently spotted in India once again and the spied mule looked more finished than before.

The exhaust note of the Super Meteor 650 has also been captured in the spy video suggesting it might sound a little bassier than the bikes it is based on including the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Another aspect we got a closer look at in the spy video is the instrument cluster. Unsurprisingly, this looks like the same unit that we have seen in the existing Meteor 350. There’s a dual pod console including a speedometer with an LCD at the centre while the smaller dial next to it is probably RE’s Tripper Navigation system.

The Super Meteor 650 will also be more premium on the hardware front than the INT and Conti GT. As we have seen in the spy pictures, it will be equipped with upside-down forks up front – a first from RE. It will also sport alloy wheels with road-biased tyres while braking hardware comprises a single disc with ByBre calipers accompanied by a dual-channel ABS setup. As for the engine, powering the bike will be the tried and tested 648cc, parallel-twin mill from the Interceptor but the tuning might be different.

Royal Enfield is expected to launch the Super Meteor 650, along with the Shotgun 650, by the end of this year or early 2023 in India.

Highlights of Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is a cruiser built around the 650cc engine. This motorbike will be positioned just above Interceptor and will be promoted as a rising cruiser. The bike will be designed with a backside handlebar forward and footpegs for a more relaxed seating position. A circular headlamp with a chrome bezel, a tear-drop fuel tank, split-style seats, twin-sided exhaust canisters, and a round tail light all will be included on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The coming cruiser will have twin-sided exhaust pipes, similar to the present 650cc motorcycles.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022

Royal Enfield is working on several new motorcycles. They will also be launching their new 650-based motorcycle that will be positioned higher than the current 650 twins. One such motorcycle is the Super Meteor 650. It is a cruiser motorcycle that is expected to be positioned higher than the current Continental GT 650 which is the current flagship motorcycle.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is an upcoming Royal Enfield bike that is expected to launch in India around August 2022. The price range of the bike will be around ₹ 3,00,000 to ₹ 3,50,000. Another bike on the ropes to be launched in India which is quite similar to RE Super Meteor 650 is Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 which will be launched in June 2022 in India.

No doubt, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will be a cruiser bike and superior to the already existing Royal Enfield Meteor 350. This bike will be based on the famous 650cc platform and therefore will top Interceptor and positioned as a premium cruiser.

If we talk about the styling of this bike, well, the bike sports a rear-swept handlebar and forward-set footpegs hence improving the ergonomics and giving out a relaxed feeling. Being a cruiser, a round headlight is a standard in addition to a chrome bezel, a tear-drop-styled fuel tank, split-style seats, twin-sided exhaust canisters, and a round tail-light. Twin-sided exhaust pipes will also be there just as they had earlier featured in other 650cc motorcycles.

The RE’s new premium cruiser will churn out its power from a 648cc, air, and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp of power and 52Nm of peak torque and will be associated with a six-speed gearbox. Through all the spy pictures, and reports we now know that the suspension setup will comprise upside-down front forks and twin-sided rear springs. Both wheels will sport disc brakes and the alloy wheels will come wrapped in tubeless tyres.

Not to forget, RE will bring out Super Meteor 650 with a lot of accessories to go with it. Currently available bikes which are similar to Super Meteor 650 and from which the motorcycle can face tough competition are Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Benelli 502C & Kawasaki Vulcan S.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022 : Specification

While 650 twins have standard telescopic forks, Super Meteor 650 gets USD forks at front. At the rear, the bike has twin shock absorbers. Braking setup comprises disc brakes at both ends, integrated with ByBre callipers and dual-channel ABS. While this test mule has been spotted with alloy wheels, it is possible that wire-spoke wheels may also be offered at the time of launch. The test mule can be seen with road-biased tyres.

Powering Super Meteor 650 will be the 648cc parallel-twin, air-oil-cooled motor that does duty on 650 twins. It generates 47.5 PS of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed constant-mesh transmission.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022 : Impressive Looks

It’s safe to say that Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform is a hit, and it only makes sense to cash in on it with newer bikes based on this platform. Doing exactly that, the Indian giant is on course to introduce a couple of 650cc cruiser bikes, one of which was recently spotted testing. Let’s take a look.

The bike seen in the spy shots is clearly the Royal Enfield Super Meteor, the Meteor 350’s bigger brother. Like its 350cc sibling, the Super Meteor will also be a laidback cruiser, evident from its mid-set controls, low seat, and swept-back handlebar as seen in the latest spy shots. Not to mention, the comfy, cruiser-like riding position is backed up by a cruiser design language featuring a curvy fuel tank, retro round lights, and pea-shooter exhausts.

Narrowing in on the design, the test mule is replete with elements such as a bobber-like chopped rear fender, sporty 10-spoke alloy wheels, and completely blacked-out mechanicals, all of which make the bike stand out from RE’s usual crop of cruisers.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022 : Performance

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 bike will be based around a 650 cc parallel twin motor, the same engine Royal Enfield used in the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650. This air/oil-cooled engine comes with eight-valve, SOHC top end, with 270-degree firing interval. It’s rated for a claimed 47 horsepower at 7,250 rpm, and 38 pound-feet of torque at 5,250 rpm—a powerband and output that would be very suitable to a mid-sized retro-style motorcycle. The engine comes with a six-speed gearbox. It has electronic fuel injection, sourced from Bosch. Overall, it has a much better reputation than the rattly Royal Enfield lumps of old.

The Super Meteor will be presumably built in the same style as the Meteor—sort of halfway between a standard like the Interceptor and a cruiser, like Royal Enfield’s Classic. This retro roadster layout, combining comfort with performance, was common with higher-end Brit bikes in generations past, and no doubt this is the angle Royal Enfield is going for with this 2022 model.

Supposedly, the new Super Meteor will have USD forks, the first Royal Enfield with this arrangement, and dual-channel ABS. Tripper ABS will likely be available as an option, along with a whole raft of factory-approved accessories, since Royal Enfield is keen on this business model. Also, expect a range of several glam paint jobs available from the factory, including two-tone options.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review 2022 : Powertrain & Range

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, the cruiser motorcycle from the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker, was recently teased in its production avatar in an official video. In India, the Super Meteor 650 will be the most expensive RE bike that’s reported to launch by mid 2022. Here’re key details of the upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser.

– For people not in the know, the ‘Super Meteor’ nameplate was used by the company for its bike that was exported to the US between 1952 and 1962.

First talking about the engine, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is likely to share its powertrain with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. That means, it will derive power from a 648cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine boosted with fuel injection technology. The motor pushes out a maximum power of over 47PS and 52Nm of torque. The cruiser will have a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is likely to share some of its design elements with the KX Concept that was unveiled in 2019. The new cruiser motorcycle will be positioned above the RE Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
